Download ResumeFreelancing part-time, I design creative solutions, marketing materials, print collateral and websites for clients. I coordinate all aspects of a job, from the initial consultation to the execution and delivery of the final files or product.
As an integral member of the production team, I am responsible for launching new customizable products on the retail site. Always exceeding productivity quotas, I prepare all design files, web assets and Adobe Scene7 templates with extreme accuracy to create a seamless, online user experience. I was also contracted as a designer during the 2010 holiday season to fulfill stationery orders and generate files for print.
As the principal graphic designer at a fast-paced Manhattan printing company, I forged relationships with valuable clients in the fields of healthcare, education, business and fashion. Credited with expanding the company’s design services, I produced a wide range of print collateral from concept to completion. I also pre-flighted and prepared all client files for digital output, offset, bindery, finishing, mailings and large format printing. Other responsibilities included troubleshooting and color-correcting files, researching software, frequent customer interaction and correspondence with vendors.
At Party Basics, I enjoyed a varied role in which I helped to manage the content of an e-commerce website, produced marketing materials, photographed products and retouched images for the web. On top my daily administrative duties, which included phone/email correspondence, data entry and order processing, I provided excellent service and personal attention to customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.
I typeset and expedited orders for a wide range of wholesale catalog products including luxury wedding invitations, stationery, packaging and accessories. I also achieved superior results in efficiency and quality assurance, thereby improving workflow and maximizing profits. Other tasks included photo retouching, creating custom artwork, proofreading and preparing files/plates for offset and digital print.
I designed and constructed costumes for three opera productions. Beyond my costume contributions, I also assisted in prop/set construction, backdrop painting, performance planning and staging.
